Alicia Escutia Cintora

December 9, 1950 — October 15, 2025

Alicia Escutia Cintora passed away on October 15th, 2025, surrounded by her beloved family. Alicia was born on December 9, 1950, the daughter of Ramón Escutia and María López.

She was the first daughter of six siblings: Hortensia, Martha, Mario, Juan, and María Escutia López.

She is survived by her husband José Cintora, her four children Zulema García (Juan), Sandra Cintora (Rafael García), Jaczibe Cintora (Fernando Romero), and José E. Cintora. She is also survived by six grandchildren: John Garcia, Jovan Garcia (Robyn), Valeria Martin (Mason), Brianna Garcia, Marifer Romero, and Frida Romero, and two great-grandchildren: Moises and Ezekiel Garcia.

She was an extraordinary woman, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, daughter, and wife, full of strength, love, and a warmth that stayed with you. Her presence will live on in our memories and the lessons that she taught us will carry on.

She was an elementary school teacher for over 30 years, but her true passion was cooking and baking. She baked many cakes, cookies, and all kinds of pastries. In addition to making traditional Mexican dishes such as huchepos, mole, fish, bean tamales, and almond chicken, everything she prepared was delicious. The walnut cookies she made during the holidays were everyone's favorite. She regularly created new dishes and recipes as well.

She enjoyed going to church and participating in all the events and was always willing to help. She was always supporting her family, nephews, or anyone who needed it. One of her favorite trips was visiting the monarch butterflies in Mexico with her family. We will miss her greatly, and her memory will forever remain in our hearts.
