In Loving Memory of Angel Rivas Flores August 29, 1969 – July 10, 2026 

With deep sadness and hearts full of love, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Angel Rivas Flores, who passed away on July 10, 2026.

Born on August 29, 1969, in Puebla, Mexico, Angel spent much of his early life there before later living in New York and Kansas. No matter where life took him, he remained a humble, hardworking, and compassionate man whose greatest priorities were his faith, his family, and caring for others.Angel is survived by his devoted wife, Myriam, his best friend and partner since their teenage years. Together they built a life rooted in love, commitment, and faith through every season. He also leaves behind his daughters, Betsabe and Nayeli, their spouses(Zac and Edith) and his cherished granddaughter, Lilliana, who was truly the pride and joy of his life. Nothing brought a bigger smile to his face than spending time with her. 

He is also lovingly remembered by his siblings: Pilar, Jaime, Daniel, Martin, Graciela, and Victor, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.A talented jeweler by trade, Angel was known for his careful craftsmanship and remarkable attention to detail. Throughout his life, he worked many different jobs whenever necessary, never hesitating to do what was needed to provide for his family. He believed that every honest day's work had value and approached each responsibility with dedication and integrity.Angel appreciated life's simple joys, a piece of pan dulce, listening to The Beatles, and expressing his creativity through drawing. He never rushed through life. Instead, he moved with intention, believing that anything worth doing deserved patience and care. His thoughtful nature and meticulous way of doing things reflected the kind of man he was.

His gentle heart extended to every member of his family, including his beloved pets (Aquiles, Ella, and Mia). He lovingly walked them, groomed them, cared for them, and treated them as cherished members of the family.Those who knew Angel will remember him most for his generosity. He was the kind of man who would give even when he had very little himself. Whether someone needed a helping hand, encouragement, or simply someone to listen, he gave freely without expecting anything in return. His generosity wasn't measured by what he had, it was measured by the size of his heart.One of the defining chapters of Angel's life was his decision to follow Christ. His faith transformed him, making him a man known for his patience, kindness, and quiet strength. He lived his beliefs through simple acts of love, faithfully caring for his family, serving others, and treating everyone with dignity and compassion.Even after his passing, Angel's generosity continued. Through the gift of organ donation, he gave at least three people a second chance at life. His final act was one of incredible selflessness, allowing others to continue living because of his decision to give. It was a beautiful reflection of the way he lived every day, with a heart that was always willing to help others.

Although his absence leaves an immeasurable void, Angel's legacy lives on in the family he loved so deeply, the friends whose lives he touched, and the countless acts of kindness that defined him. His gentle spirit, patient heart, unwavering faith, and generous nature will continue to inspire all who knew him. While we grieve his passing, we also hold tightly to the hope he believed in that one day, through God's promise, we will be reunited again.

A Celebration of Angel's Life will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Maranatha Seventh-day Adventist Church, at 5:30PM. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Angel are warmly invited to join us as we share memories, celebrate the life he lived, and honor the love he gave so freely.
