Ann (Ann Elizabeth Garrett) Coghill

Ann G. Coghill (Ann Elizabeth Garrett) was born June 4, 1951 to Dr. Glen H. and Ruth Garrett in Columbia, MO. She attended Grant School, Jefferson Junior High School and graduated from Hickman High School in Columbia, MO. She attended college for two years at Southwest Missouri State in Springfield, MO from 1969-1971, and then transferred to the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology in 1973. She returned to college in 1975 at Avila College in KCMO, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. As a Registered Nurse, she worked in many fields of nursing and nursing continued to be her passion in life.

She married David C. Coghill in 1983 and gave birth to two children. Alice Elizabeth Coghill was born April 8, 1984 and Jospeh Allen Coghill was born April 3, 1985. From their birth until her death, they were her “pride and joy”.

She leaves behind loving memories of her parents and her children Alice & Joe whom she made promise would “always be there for each other”.

The family requests no flowers, but instead suggests donations to the Salvation Army.
