Barbara (Bobbi) Jo Duran Elliot August 1959 - August 2023

Barbara Jo Duran Elliot, affectionately known as Bobbi, was born in August 1959, and peacefully passed away on August 10th, 2023.

Bobbi was welcomed into the realm beyond by her beloved mother, Joan. Bobbi's love for her mother was evident and their reunion marks a bittersweet, yet comforting moment. She was also welcomed at the Gates of Heaven by her dear nephew, Owen, and brother-in-law, David.

Bobbi is survived by the lights of her life, her three children, Jennifer, Mark, and Bradley; her cherished grandchildren, who brought an extra layer of happiness to her later years; her sisters, Christine, and Cindy, who remained an integral part of her life’s path; and her nieces and nephews, all which held a special place in her heart.

Through life’s challenges Bobbi exemplified an enduring spirit and an unyielding determination. She faced adversity with courage while maintaining a fierce, unwavering love for her family.

Bobbi’s passions included an undeniable affection for the music of Elvis, Cher, Rod Stewart, and Eminem. Their melodies and lyrics provided solace and joy during the ups and downs of life, serving as the soundtrack of her journey.

May she rest in peace, surrounded by the melodies that brought her joy, and may her legacy inspire us all to face life's challenges with the same unwavering determination and love that she exhibited throughout her life.

In honor of Bobbi’s life, please consider donating to Safe Home (undergarments and socks are always needed), AA, NA, or other local outreach center close to your heart. At minimum, blast some Rod Stewart on the car radio, roll down the windows, and sing at the top of your lungs with the full intention of embarrassing your children in the back seat. She’d think that would be ‘groovy’.

Details of the funeral services for Bobbi are currently pending, and her memory will be honored by all those who knew and loved her.
