Cameron Allen Reed

Cameron passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 12, 2023. He had just celebrated his 69th birthday. 

Cameron was born and raised in Leawood, KS by his mother Clara Louise and father Darrel Elton with his brother Darrel E. Reed Jr.

Cameron graduated from Shawnee Mission South and then attended Johnson County Community College and Kansas State University. 

Cameron married Kathleen Mears and together they raised their two daughters Jenny and Jackie in Leawood, KS. 

His favorite people called him Papa, his two grandchildren, Charlotte and Carson. His beloved dog Harley will live with his favorite grand pup Bella at Jenny’s house. 

Cameron owned a used car dealership in Mission, KS called Mission Auto Sales. He had many friends in the industry. 

Cameron will be greatly missed by his many friends and family. His unconventional sense of humor, mouth of a sailor, desire for human interaction, and unparalleled love for his daughters and grandchildren are the things his family will miss the most. 

Cameron died a hero. He was able to donate his organs and help others. His family finds peace in this and is grateful their sorrow can lead to others joy. 

Private family services will be held at a later date.
