Connie passed away on October 1, 2024, after battling with cancer for several years. She passed away at Advent Health with her son, Steven Clune, at her side kissing her head. For the days prior, she was sided by with her close friend Diana Wymer who did not leave her side while she was bedridden.
Connie Anderson was born in Kansas City, KS in March of 1955 to her Mother Jimmie Anderson and her Father Lloyd Anderson. She was born into a medium size family which quickly grew, and the home was filled with love and wisdom from Jimmie and Lloyd.
As her family grew, so did the love and those who adored Connie. Her sisters are Linda Cox, Laura Flinn, Elvie Anderson, Janet Anderson, Jeanne Anderson and Bonnie Turner. Her brothers are Leroy Anderson, Gary Anderson and Jimmy Anderson. She was close and had special relationships with all her brothers and sisters.
Shortly after becoming an adult Connie married Mike Clune, they married and spent a short time in San Clamente, California while Mike was in the Marines, which she always cherished. Together, Connie and Mike have 4 children Shelly Stevenson, Joanie Leger, Mikie Clune Jr and Steven Clune. Her Grandchildren are Brooke & Brittany Leger, Kayla & Josh Figgatt, Dustin Miller. She also has grandchildren Michael, Blake, Willy & Justine Clune.
She loved ALL of God’s creatures, whether it was people or animals. She was known for her huge heart & unconditional love, especially for family. Whether you were doing great things or you made some bad choices in your life, it did not matter to Connie. She loves you just as much.
She started a new chapter in her life on October 1, 2002. That is when her son Steven Clune & Megan Clune had their first child. Connie and Mike Morris stepped into their new role as Grandparents. Nothing in life made her happier than spending time with her Grandchildren. Even through the chemo & radiation, she very rarely missed a day with her youngest Grandkids Willy & Justine. Or a moment to praise Michael or Blake. In fact, Willy called her the day before her passing & she still somehow was able to pick the phone up to tell him he could come up and visit her.
Connie was also known for her unshakable faith in God and his plans for all of us. When her son Mike Clune passed away at a young age of 24, it took her some time, but she continued to lean on Him & would testify that she would not have found her way back to living without God.
She was the most selfless person that I have ever known. In her eyes we are all just perfect, no matter our past- especially her family.
