Daniel David Boatwright, age 82 of Kansas City, Kansas passed away May 9, 2024, at home surrounded
by family. He was born to Philip and LaVaughn (Bonnie) Boatwright in San Jose, California on April 6,
1942. He graduated from North Hollywood High school. Danny was a Vietnam Vet and a retired Kansas
City Kansas police officer. Danny always had a smile on his face and a story to tell. He never met a
stranger. Danny was so proud of all his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents Philip and LaVaughn (Bonnie) Boatwright; sister Virginia (Jenny)
Billie Boatwright; granddaughter Alexandria Boatwright; grandson Kloy Hersh; and granddaughter Haylie
Boatwright.

He is survived by his wife Martha Boatwright; brother Philip Boatwright; son Casey Boatwright; son
Drew Boatwright; daughter Danielle Boatwright (Casey); son Craig Fratzel (Jenny); daughter Nichole
Jakes (Josh); daughter Kellie Hersh (Frank); daughter Jessica Boatwright; son Zane Merritt (Samantha);
son Chase Boatwright (Valentina); daughter Karen Tennison (Brent); son Joseph Boatwright (Sarah); 36
grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.

A celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the Moose Lodge 1999 at 3 pm (6621 Turner
Dr. Kansas City, KS 66111)
