David Lee (Lovern) Holloman age 72 was Born August 24,1953 to George Galen Lovern and Margaret Ann Talkington in El Dorado, KS. David was later adopted by his stepfather, William A. Holloman. He died at home surrounded by his family on November 8, 2025.
He graduated from El Dorado High School in 1970. He attended LIFE Bible College in Los Angeles, CA and Butler Community College
He married Sherry Page in 1974 and together they have 4 children.
David grew up in the El Dorado area and attended the Foursquare Gospel Church for 35 years. In the early 1988 he became a member of El Dorado First Baptist Church. He was a member of Michigan Valley Community Church when he moved to the area in November 2011. He was very involved in church and helped with youth activities all of his teenage and adult years.
In 1975 he developed a close friendship with John Bigham when they started working together at Sauders in Emporia. John invited him to this area to fish and hunt with him, and he came to do so whenever possible. David loved telling stories, and making people laugh.
He loved to attend all the activities of his family when he was able.
He was employed by Butler Community College until his retirement in 2009.
He loved his Lord and his family and made sure that they knew how much God loves each and every one of them. He had devotional, prayer time with them each night as they grew up.
He is survived by his wife Sherry, 3 sons Joshua (Sonila), Matt, and Jerry (Shelby) and his daughter, Jennifer Marshall (Joel), ten grandchildren, whom he adored. David, Allie, Ellis, Emmett, Emory, Piper, Remi, Boaz, Tilly and Daphne. His sister Vickie Angel (Jerry), and numerous nieces and nephews whom he always loved being around.
He was preceded in death by his father George, mother Margaret, stepfather Bill, and brother Tim.
