Donald Eugene Strausbaugh

Donald Eugene Strausbaugh, 89 of Overland Park, Kansas passsed away July 07, 2023.  One of 12 children born to Henry and Frances Strausbaugh in Osawatomie, Kansas.   He grew up on a farm in Louisburg.  He was number 9 of the 12.  Donald graduated from Louisburg, Kansas High School.

He joined the army in 1954, and was stationed in Maryland where he was a blacksmith.  He spent the rest of his enlisted time in Alaska.  After retirement from Honeywell, he loved going to estate and garage sales.  Donald enjoyed meeting many people at the sales.  He was a member of Cure' of Ars parish, where he was a Sacristan along with his wife.

Donald leaves behind his wife Judith of the home; 3 children Allen, Patricia, Jeff and 5 step-children, Kim, Chris, Keith, John and Eric( who he loved as his own); several grandchildren and great grandchildren; 1 sister Carol Mills and 2 brothers Jerald and Jerry Strausbaugh along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass, 11 am on Thursday, July 13 with vistation at 10 am and rosary at 10:30 am at Cure' of Ars, 9401 Mission Road, Leawood, KS.  Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Paola, KS.

In lieu of flowers any donations should be made to Cure' of Ars Church.
