In Loving Memory of Erica Renee Fitchett
Erica Renee Fitchett, age 49, passed away on October 7, 2026. She was born on June 26, 1977, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Delores Rios and Frank Christopher Fitchett II.
Erica graduated from Harmon High School in 1995 and went on to serve her community as Treasurer of Deeds with the Unified Government of Wyandotte County.
Erica shared her life with Jon-Michael Marron, and together they welcomed two children, Deion Marron and Lauren Marron, who were among the greatest blessings of her life.
Erica was a beautiful soul whose presence could light up any room she entered. She was known for her unforgettable smile, contagious laughter, and the warmth of her hugs. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone around her feel loved, valued, and seen. Her kindness and beautiful spirit left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Even on her darkest days, Erica found ways to bring light to those around her. She had a special ability to see the good in every situation, especially when surrounded by the family she loved so deeply. She was ambitious, strong, and determined, facing life’s challenges with a spirit that refused to give up. No matter what she was going through, the love she had for her family remained at the heart of everything she did.
Erica’s beauty extended far beyond her smile. It was reflected in her strength, compassion, laughter, and the love she gave so freely. Her absence leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who loved her, but the memories she created and the love she shared will live on forever. Erica will never be forgotten, for the love she gave and the light she brought into this world will continue to shine through everyone whose life she touched.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank C. Fitchett.
She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved children, Deion Marron and Lauren Marron; her boyfriend, Bruce Pointelin; her mother, Delores Rios; her brother, Frank Fitchett III; her stepmother, Sandra Fitchett; her stepsiblings, Jennifer Magaña-Muñiz, Angela Bobki, Dominic Magaña, and Chris Magaña; her eight nieces and nephews; and her many aunts, uncles, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
