Kansas City

It is with profound sadness that we announce our beloved Georgia “Gees” Rouse Dringman, 80, of Kansas City, KS, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 23rd, 2026, with family by her side. A celebration of life will be announced soon.

Born in Kansas City, MO, on March 25th, 1945, Georgia attended Turner High School. She devoted 30+ years to J&J asphalt working as an office manager and loved every minute of it. Georgia was an avid gardener with a magic green thumb, a wonderful cook, with a shout out to her legendary pumpkin bread, and a passionate book lover that shared hundreds of novels. She spent her free time watching all kinds of movies, working on puzzles, and playing board games with family. Her Scrabble, Boggle, and Scattergories skills were to be feared. She very much enjoyed being outside, especially back in the day when she went camping and fishing. She also loved to dance. Always claimed that dancing was in our blood. She was a lover of dogs and rescued many throughout her life, including her last, her beloved Abby. Throughout every season you could find them sitting on the back porch together. Her own little sanctuary with plants and flowers everywhere you look. Many conversations, laughter, and tears were shared on that simple porch.

Family was everything to her… She is now reunited with many of those loved ones, family that she missed so very deeply and spoke of often. As well as longtime friends that she never forgot. Her loved ones she left behind will miss her dearly. Georgia will be fondly remembered for her wittiness, generosity, and unconditional love. She had a way of leaving a lasting impact on everyone she met, from family, friends and neighbors to nurses and people she spoke to at the grocery store. She was sharp and stubborn, in the best way, until her very last breath.

Mom, you were our “go-to” when life got rough. We weren’t rich in material things, but you made sure we were beyond rich in love and family. Thank you for that. We love you and will miss you every day. Always in our hearts.
