Ginger L. Harrison, 76, a devout Christian, returned to God on Saturday, April 27th, 2024. She was a beloved sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by everyone who had the chance to know her.
Ginger was born in Kansas City where she grew up and eventually returned to live in her childhood home. Ginger graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1966 and started working right away. She loved her job,
wouldn’t miss a day, and was proud of her perfect attendance. While working at Grainger, she participated in corporate challenges where she swam and cycled marathons. At her most recent job working at All-Rid Pest control, she enjoyed getting to know all her customers and her coworkers.
Ginger loved Coca-Cola (absolutely no Pepsi), her VW Bugs, the Chiefs, and her dogs, but most of all, she loved her family, her friends, and her church. She would welcome anyone into her home with open arms, and she made everyone feel part of the family. She always had a smile on her face, and she was the strongest person you knew. When she wasn’t working, she spent her free time shopping and mowing her yard, ensuring she had the best lawn in the neighborhood. She loved singing at church and has attended Masters Community Church for 25+ years.
Ginger was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Alma Hansen. She is survived by her beloved dog, Snickerdoodle; her two children, Brent Palmer and Rhonda Sweeney; her grandchildren, Tyler and Dawn Harrison, Brently Palmer (and family), Cloie Palmer, and Chance Palmer; her great-grandchildren, Lyla, Hudson, and Archie (her great-granddog); her twin sister Peggy Danley; and her nephew, John Mark Danley.
There will be a celebration of life Friday, May 17th at Masters Community Church located at 2548 S 42nd St, Kansas City, KS 66106. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name can be made to Masters Community Church.
