Gwendolen Maria Wiehe, 60, passed away in her home in Kansas City, KS, on April 14. She was preceded in death by her parents Vincent and Bette Schuetz, and her sisters Beverly Mooneyham (John) and Jacquelen Schuetz. She is survived by her husband Stanley Wiehe, son Stanley Wiehe Jr. (Abigail), daughter Nicole Wiehe, three grandchildren, brother Vincent Schuetz (Rebecca), sister Veronica Buckles (Dwight), and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Gwen was a social butterfly who loved to connect with anyone and everyone. She enjoyed helping her husband of 39 years with their farm, cheering on her children at every golf tournament, playing card games with family and friends, and also became a Master Gardener.

A visitation will be held at Christ the King Parish, 3024 N 53rd St. in Kansas City, KS, at 3:30 PM on Thursday, April 27, 2023, followed by a memorial mass at 5 PM. A celebration of life will begin at 6:30 PM at Dub’s Dread Golf Club, 12601 Hollingsworth Rd. in Kansas City, KS.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in memorial to the Relay for Life. Gwen was an avid supporter of the American Cancer Society and proudly sported her Survivor t-shirts through many laps in life. May her dear, fighting spirit rest in peace.
