Janessa Cherie Russell, 44, of Independence, Missouri passed away unexpectedly on February 9, 2024. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Heart of God Fellowship, 3720 Buckner-Tarseny, Buckner, Missouri 64015. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM with service from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM.
Janessa had a bubbly personality, infectious laughter, and always gave 100% to anything she put her mind to. She loved Mexican Coca-Cola; and she had a need for speed. Janessa overcame her fear of heights through skydiving. She was a loving mother who loved spending time with her kids. Being a good Mom was her proudest of many accomplishments.
Janessa is survived by her children: Devan Brown, Kayden Russell, and Toby Pointer; mother, Lisa Smothers; father, Dennis Russell; fiancée, Terisha Janeski; siblings: Tracee Gulley, Shaun Jack, and Scott Jack; nephews: JC Ault, Nicholas Russell-Gamble, Michael Russell; nieces, Audrey and Alexus Gamble; and God Child, Kelsie Petty(Roettgen) and many more family and friends.
Janessa was a shining star that will be forever missed but never forgotten.
