Jeanette Irene Williams

Jeanette Irene Williams was born on December 5th, 1944, to Mabel and Paul Byfield at the Allen County Hospital in Iola, KS. She was married to Lawrence Williams, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Mabel and Paul Byfield. Jeanette Williams passed away on February 6th, 2026, at 10:00 am at the age of 81. She is survived by a son, James Williams of Spring Hill, KS; 4 grandchildren (Kristin Williams, Kayla Williams, Gina Magee, and Janae Cox); a brother, Paul Byfield; a sister, Patricia Stephens; and 6 great-grandchildren. Jeanette worked as an LPN at KUMC and Baptist Memorial Hospital. She also ran a daycare from November 1975 until she retired in December 2009. Jeanette was a family-oriented person who was such a light and kind to anyone she met. She loved doing crossword puzzles, playing various card games with her friends, and watching KU basketball and the Chiefs. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Yates Center Cemetery, located at 1298 120th Rd, Yates Center, KS 66783, to celebrate Jeanette's life. In Lieu of donations, flowers can be sent to 21035 West 225th Terrace, Spring Hill, KS 66083.
