Jettie Lane Cline (Hughes)

Jettie Lane Cline (Hughes) passed away at the age of 86 on Tuesday, May 7 th , 2024. She is preceded in death by her husband Russel Melton, parents Jessie and Elberta Hughes, siblings Bill Hughes, TB Hughes, Betty Hoover, Margaret Lewis, Eddie May Mace and Doris Winslow. She is survived by her children Terri Acord (Dennis), Barry Cline (Danielle), and Steve Cline, grandchildren Christa, Kasey, Jason, Gretchen and Kip along with 16 great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Jettie was born in Alamo Tennessee on August 23, 1937. She worked at TWA’s overhaul base in Kansas City for many years starting in the fleet service department and working her way up to a hydraulic mechanic role. She enjoyed traveling domestically and internationally including travels to South America and Europe. She had an adventurous spirit which motivated her to live in multiple states throughout her later years. She loved her siblings and children and held them close to her heart. She will be missed.
