Jose Hugo Linares

Jose Hugo Linares, aged 37, passed away on January 20, 2025, in Kansas City, MO. He was born on July 1, 1987, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Arturo Linares and Leticia Avila. Hugo grew up in Kansas City, KS, and graduated from J.C. Harmon High School in 2006.

Hugo was a beloved son, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, and friend. He was known for his kindness, infectious laughter, and love for sports and seafood. He had a passion for music, travel, and meeting new people, always encouraging others to enjoy life. He exemplified perseverance.

Hugo was preceded in death by his father, Arturo, and sister, Cecilia. He is survived by his mother, Leticia, his brothers, Arturo, Alejandro, and Daniel, and his sisters, Leticia, Cecilia, Damaris, and Sylvia, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

It was a privilege to have shared life with such a remarkable soul. He was truly a gem in this world.
