Lawrence Arthur Williams

Lawrence Arthur Williams, 80, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away on November 8th, 2023. He was born on June 25th, 1943, in Yates Center, Kansas, to Chandler and Florence Williams. Lawrence was a family-oriented person who loved to put a smile on everyone's face and make everyone laugh. He adored his son Jim, and on most days you would find him in his yard gardening. He loved spending time with his family, especially taking his granddaughters to "Christmas in the Park" every year. For every family event, he made angel food cake but only with specific icing, which he would search everywhere for until he found it. Lawrence also enjoyed playing cards and visiting with friends who came over. His kind, joyful spirit and great big smile left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Lawrence is survived by his wife Jeanette Williams, his son Jim Williams, four granddaughters, and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chandler and Florence Williams, as well as his siblings Evelyn and Donald Williams.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate Lawrence's life on Tuesday, November 14th, 2023, at 11 am at Yates Center Cemetery, located at 1298 120th Rd, Yates Center, KS 66783. The service will be conducted by Yates Center Cemetery.
