Lindol P. “Lin” Myers, 87, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Advent Shawnee Mission
Hospital in Overland Park, Kansas after a brief illness. Lin was born on June 24, 1936, in Cincinnati, Ohio
to Marcia and Lindol Sr. He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, and his parents. He is survived by
his children, Michelle (Robert) Pike, John, and Paul (Aimee), seven grandchildren: Sarah, Logan, Carter,
Joey, Jacob, Seth and Teagan and dear friend Helen LaValley.
Lin proudly served in the Air Force and was stationed in Germany before marring Patricia (Nieporte) in
1962. They began their life in Hollywood, Florida and started their family. The family moved to Lenexa in
1977 and joined Holy Trinity where the children attended school. Lin was an over the road furniture
salesman for most of his life. He loved his Mercedes and was involved with the local car club attending
meetings and car shows. Lin also had an affinity for the symphony and attended many performances
and was always listening to classical music. After Pat passed away in 2007, Lin met Helen and the two
found joy in each other’s companionship. They had fun traveling, watching the Chiefs and the Royals and
just spending time together.
Services for Lin will be held on Thursday, November 30th, at 10:30 am with visitation at 9:30 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church,
13615 W. 92nd Street, Lenexa, Kansas. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Heart Association.https://www.heart.org/en/affiliates/kansas/
