Louis A. Fajdetich

Louis A. Fajdetich, age 88, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2025, at his home in Olathe, Kansas. Louis was born in Kansas City, Kansas on December 25, 1936, the son of Luka P. Fajdetich and Rose B. (Peresic) Fajdetich. Louis was proud of his Croatian heritage, and in earlier years, participated in the St. John’s Tamburitza musical group. Louis was a military veteran, having served with the U.S. Army in Germany from 1959-1962. After retirement from his work at the Colgate-Palmolive Company, Louis was an avid bowler, participating in a Senior Classic League for many years.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents, Luka and Rose Fajdetich, his brothers, Henry and John Fajdetich; his sisters, Rose and Helen Fajdetich, and Mary Bartkoski.  

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Edith (Starcher) Fajdetich, three devoted daughters, Anne Borders (Matt), Janet Kirkham, Theresa Fajdetich (Danny Dreese); five grandchildren, Jacob Borders, Matthew Higbee, Rachel Eis (Josh), Jacob and Zachary Aswegan, and many nieces and nephews.

A private family memorial service and inurnment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Overland Park, Kansas at a later date.
