Peggy Wilson was born on June 17, 1947, in Ancon, Panama Canal Zone to Leo M. and Margaret D. (Revitte) Wilson. She grew up in a loving home and attended Our Lady of St. Rose for grade school before graduating from Bishop Ward High School in 1965.
Following graduation, Peggy dedicated her life to caring for others through her work. She began her career at Providence Medical Center, later working at Therapic Radiologist Inc., Our Lady of Unity Catholic Grade School, and U.S. Oncology/KU Medical Center.
Peggy had a deep devotion to her faith and was especially committed to the Sister Servants of Mary. She served faithfully as President of the Guild for eight years and later as a member of their executive board. Her compassion and leadership touched many lives.
Above all, Peggy was devoted to her family. She found her greatest joy in being a mother to her four children and a beloved grandmother. She cherished time spent reading cozy mystery novels and crocheting, especially when surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Margaret Wilson; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia and Michael Koenig, and Gerre and Jerry Brown; her brother and sister-in-law, Timothy and MaryAnn Wilson; and her grandson, William Casson.
She is survived by her four children: Melvin Casson II, Bridget (Ken) Swearingen, Amanda (Marc) McEachron, and Emily (Mike) Dye; and her grandchildren: Maggie Swearingen, Mackenzie McEachron, and Blake McEachron. She also leaves behind her brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Christine Wilson, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.
