In Loving Memory of Matthew Jones

 

Matthew Jones, a resilient soul, left this world at the age of 44, after bravely fighting a four-year battle with glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). He departed peacefully at his home in Kansas City, KS, surrounded by the love of his family on December 7, 2023.

 

Born to Pamela (Mike) and Doyle (Kim), Matthew's journey was defined by love, strength, and an unwavering spirit. His dedication to his family was unparalleled, as he leaves behind his cherished wife, Autumn, and their two adoring daughters, Lilyana and Mercedes, sister Laura(Greg),their four children and brother Joshua and his son. In addition to his immediate family, Matthew leaves behind a legacy of love that extends to relatives, friends, and all whose lives he touched. His memory will be cherished for the kindness he shared, the laughter he brought, and the lessons he imparted.

 

Matthew's role as a husband and father was not just a title; it was a testament to the depth of his character and the love that bound their family together.

 

Despite facing the challenges of a formidable illness, Matthew approached life with remarkable courage and resilience. His positive outlook and determination throughout the battle with GBM were a source of inspiration to all who knew him. Matthew's enduring love for his family and his ability to find joy in the midst of adversity were a reflection of his extraordinary character.

 

A celebration of Matthew's life will be held on December 30, 2023 at 1pm at the 21st Street Community Church, 95 S 21st Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66102.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Kansas City Hospice in Matt's honor.

 

As we say our farewells, let us remember Matthew not for the illness he faced but for the vibrant, loving individual he was. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his family find comfort in the precious memories they shared with him.
