Maurice George Ackmann

MAURICE (WHITEY) ACKMANN
Maurice G Ackmann, 98 of Roeland Park, Kansas passed away January 24, 2024 at his home. 
Maurice was born in Washington, MO, the second of three siblings. His parents were, Evelyn Ferrell and  Alfred Ackmann. Maurice had a great and storied life which included being a Marine during WWII, his proudest job. He also was a process engineer for Bendix aviation (now Honeywell). After retiring at age 54, he switched careers and began rehabbing and selling houses and apartments. He became quite an expert in all aspects of this. He also found time to travel the world which he truly enjoyed.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings as well as his wife of 67 years, Trinidad. He is survived by his children Cecilia (Bob Buess), Richard (Helen) and Teresa (Dirk Anthonis), grandchildren Michelle O'Rourke, Monica O'Neil, Nicholas Buess, Maia Buess, Kristin Davies and Caleb Anthonis. He also has six great grandchildren: Kelsey Rootring, Chase O'Rourke, Hailie O'Rourke, Madison O'Neil, Riley O'Neil, Nori Buess, and two great great grandchildren: Krew Rootring and Rebel O'Rourke.
