Michael Lee Schoenberger March 11, 1959 – July 21, 2026, Michael Lee Schoenberger, 67, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away on July 21, 2026, after a courageous battle with multiple health issues.

Born to Vince and Frances Schoenberger of Kansas City, KS, Mike was a proud father to Cody Schoenberger 40, of Prairie Village, Adam Schoenberger 39, of Kansas City, Kelsey Schoenberger 35, of Olathe, and his stepson Nathan Butler, 44 of Shawnee, whom he loved as his own son.

Mike was preceded in death by his father, Vince Schoenberger. He is survived by his mother, Frances Schoenberger; his brother, Randy Schoenberger, Randy’s wife, Kathy; his children; and many family members and friends.

Mike proudly served in the United States Army, spending three years stationed in Kitzingen, Germany.  He was an avid sports fan who loved football, baseball, basketball, auto racing, and just about anything that involved competition.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mike’s final resting place will be Maple Hill Cemetery in Kansas City, Kansas.  A Celebration of Life will be held at New City Church, 818 Shawnee Rd in KCK on Thursday August 6th at 4:00 PM. Food will be served after the celebration. If you plan to stay to eat, please message me or one of the family members so we have a rough estimate for the food.

If you would like to share a special memory of Mike, we welcome you to stand and share. No need to dress up. Please come as you are as Mike was not a dress-up person.
