Robert "Bob" John Schneider

Robert John "Bob" Schneider of Valparaiso, Indiana passed away on July 19, 2023 at Kansas CIty Hospice House surrounded by his loved ones after a battle with cancer.

He was born on February 5, 1965 in Kansas City, Kansas .  Being the only son with three older sisters was his first challenge!  Could be why his first words were "shut up"!

Bob was known for his unique, fun-loving personality and for the exciting adventures he would come up with.  He was especially fond of the Lake of the Ozarks.  Bob was always up for a margarita at Red Fox!  Spent a lot time on the deck sharing wine and memories with family and friends.  Bob's proudest accomplishments were his children and grandchildren.  Besides spending his time at the gym and hiking, he also enjoyed traveling around the world and attending church.  The next big adventure was traveling to Germany to watch the KC Chiefs play, then traveling the rest of the country with family.  Unfortunately, Bob passed before we could go.

Bob achieved the impressive milestone of driving 1,000,000 miles accident free during his long career in the transportation industry, starting with Roadway, followed by Yellow Freight, and most recently UPS.

Bob is survived by his son Ryan Schneider; daughters Nicole VanAutreve and Veronica Schneider; 7 grandchildren; ex-wife Kalyn Schneider; mother Dorothy (Al) Boehr; father John (Carolie) Schneider; sisters Carrie (Larry) Wayne, Catherine (Keith) Hrbanek and Sandra (JW) Reese; and grandmother Carrie Hopper.  Bob leaves scores of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who are all heartbroken over their loss.  Bob is loved and will be missed by all.  

Bob was preceded in death by his grandfather Arthur C Hopper, Sr; and his grandparents John and Angeline Schneider.  In honor of Bob, the family will hold private services at the Lake of the Ozarks in 2024.  Bob, we love you and it is not goodbye but until we see you again!  We know you are dancing in the sky!
