Robert “Bob” Eugene Williams was born March 4, 1949 to Naomi Violet Hoover Orhood and Ocee Olen Williams in Hannibal, Missouri. Bob was the sixth born of ten children Naomi and Ocee shared. Bob lived the life of a humorous, hardworking, family man. Bob married his late wife, Rose Marie Williams, in June of 1968. Bob and Rose had four beautiful children, Ray Olen Williams, Tina Renee Williams, Joanna Louise Williams, and Debora Lynn Williams (Hinajosa). After pursuing a long term career with the railroad, Bob’s career path led him and his family to settle in Kansas City, Kansas around 1985, where Bob then spent more than two decades working as a field supervisor with Catholic Cemeteries. When Bob was not at work, he was somewhere with his family making them laugh, lending a helping hand with whatever he could, building a small craft with his grandchildren or great grandchildren, or enjoying a timeless show with his loved ones.
Bob was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia in 2020, and after a long, graceful, and courageous fight, he found peace on June 24, 2026. Bob is deeply missed. Bob is survived by one of his brothers, three of his children, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other loved ones.
Bob’s funeral will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Kansas City, Kansas, on July 17, 2026, at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests prayers and donations be made to the Dementia Society of America.
