Russell Ash

Russell Ash, age 77, of Topeka, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly on November 10, 2023.  He was born on March 29, 1946, in Kansas City, Kansas, to Charles and Dorothy Ash.  Russ grew up in Wichita, Kansas, and graduated from Wichita East High School and was a member of College Hill United Methodist Church.  He graduated from Wichita State University in 1969 and Washburn University of Law in 1973.  Russ was appointed to the Kansas Governor's Committee on Criminal Adminstration and was employed by the Kansas Department of Transportation, Legal Division until his retirement in 2013.

Russ was proceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his wife of 55years, Marilyn; daughter Carli and her husband Jonathan Cooper of Kansas City, Missouri; son Bryan Ash and his wife Dana of Indpendence, Missouri; 2 grandchildren and sister Marilyn Barbeck of Olathe, Kansas.

Russ was an avid reader and golfer, loved watching KU basketball, and spending time with his family.
