Stephanie Lund Shepard

Stephanie Shepard passed away at the age of 59 years on February 06, 2026.

Born at Shawnee Mission Hospital in Merriam, Kansas she was the daughter of George and Jann Lund of Leawood, Kansas.  She graduated college from Emporia State University with a Masters Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling in December of 1992 and worked as a case manager and child care provider for many years.  She also served in the child care ministry at Lenexa Baptist Church for approximately 5 years. 

Stephanie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling-especially to Colorado, watching good movies, listening to good music and was very proud of her children and what they have accomplished.  She was a very devoted wife and mother to her husband and children and always had a smile on her face, even in the most difficult of times.

She is survived by her husband Sean Shepard; her children: William Shepard, Ashley Shepard and Amanda Shepard as well as her beloved cat, Cleo.

In lieu of flowers, gifts are encouraged to be made to enhance cancer care at AdventHealth's Cancer Institute.  Gifts made in Stephanie's memory will be directed to support the health needs of future cancer patients through specialized programs and equipment.  Donations can be mailed to AdventHealth Kansas City Foundation, 7315 E. Funeral service will be held at Lenexa Baptist Church, 15320 W 87th Street Pkwy, Lenexa, Kansas 66219 at 11:00 am on Saturday 2/21/26.

Graveside service will be held immediately following at Lincoln Cemetery in Lebo, Kansas.  Maps can be provided after service for directions to the cemetery upon request.
