Susan June Hopkins 70, Born in Joplin Mo, but was a life time resident of where she loved the most Kansas City Kansas. Passed away peacefully at home on July 21, 2023 in Emporia Kansas. Services will be held at Kansas City Funeral Directors, 4880 Shawnee Drive, Kansas City, KS, on August 2, 2023. Visitation will be at 5:00 PM with service beginning at 6:00 PM.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Sue Green, and her husband, Jeffery A Greene of Emporia, Kansas; three sisters: Vicky George, of Kansas City, Kansas, Kim Phillips, and Dixie Johnson of Joplin, Missouri; one brother, John Lawson, of Topeka, Kansas; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephew that she adored.
She is preceded in death by her husband, David Hopkins; son, Daniel D Lawson; mother, Betty Durbin; and John D Lawson.
Those we love don’t go away.
They walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed, and so very dear.
