Virginia Maria (Fonseca) Alvarez, 82, of Merriam, Kansas passed away peacefully on January 6, 2026 at Merriam Gardens in Merriam, Kansas.

Virginia was the back bone of her family always so strong for everyone. She was a loving mother and grandmother and so beloved by her family. She will be truly missed.

Virginia is survived by her son, Kenneth Alvarez; daughter, Mary Wyatt; grandchildren: Michael Dean, Victoria, Jamie, Brittany, and Joseph; and many more family members and friends.
